Approach
R2C2 supports young people in Roseland and the greater Chicagoland community by providing them with holistic, wraparound services that enable them to live longer, healthier, and more meaningful lives. Once youth are identified for services, members of the R2C2 team provide hands-on, individualized supports to them and their families. While this can take many forms, past engagements have included:
Housing
Providing youth with housing and support navigating the housing system, including an emergency shelter partnership with the Illinois Department of Human Services for young men ages 18-24.
Trauma-Informed Care
Addressing holistic needs through social emotional assessments, therapy, counseling, life coaching, and partnerships to promote youth and family wellness, including supports for people impacted by violence.
Economic Mobility
Advancing pathways to economic freedom, including career coaching, resume support, and transportation to and from career opportunities.
Legal Services
Legal resources and connections for those impacted by the criminal justice system, including supports for expungement processes.
Basic Needs
Youth safety and basic needs, including safe transportation to and from school, access to clothing, and access to high-quality food.
